About me

I studied Fine & Commercial Art the sloppy old fashioned way with brushes and paints (painting with an electronic stylus came much later).

After eight years as an art student I set out to make my mark as a commercial artist. Painting in Europe for 10 years for Disney, The BBC, Feature Films , concerts (Rolling Stones) and touring theatrical events.

During my time in London my sculptor husband Chris and I opened a workshop in London creating sets and special effects for film, television and commercials. In 1999, Chris and I packed up and moved to L.A. from London. Talk about culture shock.

Painting visual effect components and miniatures for films like Martin Scorcese's "Shutter Island" and Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" are some of the really fascinating projects I've worked on.

Since the birth of our son, Joshua, I've redirected my experience of being involved in scores of renovation and building projects into color consulting and creating site specific artwork.

This blog my experiences as a maker, designer and artist.
